Orangewood Children's Foundation
"I resided at Orangewood off and on until I was adopted at the age of four. I am creating and donating a custom painting entiteled "Faces of Love" for this charity event as a way to give back to a place that I once called home."

About:
Orangewood Children’s Foundation is a private, nonprofit
organization founded in 1981 and one of the leading providers of
services to children in foster care. Through financial
assistance, mentors, daily living skills workshops, transitional
housing and college scholarships, we give these innocent victims
of child abuse a chance at happy, productive lives. Last year
alone Orangewood scholarships helped 338 former foster children
attend colleges and universities throughout the United States.
In our 28 year history we have helped over 74,000 kids find
their wings and soar. Beyond our programs, for thousands of
foster children Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and
“hope.” Learn how you can help at www.orangewoodfoundation.org.
Mission:
The mission of Orangewood Children’s Foundation is to end the
cycle of child abuse by providing innovative programs focused
on:
• Prevention – Strengthening at-risk families to prevent abuse
before it starts;
• Care – Supporting children in foster care and at the
Orangewood Children’s Home;
• Emancipation – Successfully transitioning foster teens into
independent adulthood;
• Public Awareness –Inspiring involvement from the community.
“If
Orangewood didn’t exist, I might be sleeping on a bench
somewhere. Living on your own isn’t easy, especially for
former foster kids.”
